Over the past 15 years, Rob Roberti has acquired not only a great depth of experience in finance and power, but also considerable breadth. Most recently, Rob was Manager, Financing and Development with Regional Power Inc., an operator and developer of hydro-electric projects throughout Canada. Rob was involved in all financial aspects of projects under development including raising equity, structuring and negotiating project financing, budgeting and financial modeling. He was also actively involved in other business aspects of development such as negotiating contracts with land owners, local stakeholders, governments and utilities, regular interactions with utilities, and feasibility analysis of projects in early development stages. He has participated frequently in industry advocacy work with utilities and several ministries in a number of provinces, as a representative of the independent power producers industry. Previously, Rob was Director, Project Finance at Probyn & Company and Treasurer of Clean Power Income Fund. There, he arranged project finance for green energy projects in Canada, the U.S. and Central America. Also, as a member of a small team, he played a major role in the establishment and IPO of the Clean Power Income Fund, a public entity, listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, specializing in investments in green energy projects throughout North America. He also has extensive experience in fixed income private placement lending, including project finance, working for a major Canadian financial institution. This unique breadth of experience, first in financing green energy projects through to developing projects creates an opportunity to provide comprehensive, experienced and independent financial advice to developers and owners in the expanding green energy industry. Rob is a member of the CFA Institute and of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. |
